How to Clean Your Glock?

by Medieval Tactical January 27, 2023

To properly clean your Glock, you will need a few basic tools: a cleaning rod, bore brush, and cleaning patches or cloths. Here are the steps to follow:

  1. Make sure the gun is unloaded and the magazine is removed.

  2. Use a cleaning rod and bore brush to scrub the barrel of the gun. Be sure to run the brush through the barrel several times to remove any build-up of carbon or other debris.

  3. Use a cleaning patch or cloth to wipe down the barrel and other internal parts of the gun, such as the slide and frame.

  4. Use a small brush or toothbrush to clean the magazines, trigger and other hard to reach areas.

  5. Use a lubricant or oil on the moving parts of the gun, such as the slide and barrel, to keep them functioning smoothly.

  6. Wipe down the exterior of the gun with a clean cloth to remove any dirt or fingerprints.

It is important to note that you should always check your owner's manual for any specific cleaning instructions for your Glock model. Also, it's recommended to clean your Glock after each use and before long-term storage.
